Makanyane Safari Lodge Reviews
“The lodge was exceptionally well run and organised. The game drives were excellent and Madikwe is a great sized and well populated game reserve; we saw everything! The guides were so friendly and passionate and I particularly loved the sun-downers concept at the end of each game drive. Food at the lodge was actually what surprised me the most. Despite being in the middle of nowhere the food was fantastic quality – London restaurant standard!” –Screddie
“We spent a week at the lodge. The staff were amazing and always on hand to respond to our needs. The rooms are private, luxurious, large and have lots of glass to view any of the animals that may walk past or reside nearby. We watched 15 elephant play for hours in the river just outside our room. The game drives were always full of sightings with the added bonus that this lodge has lots of private land to traverse that no other operator has access to.” –Swanbourne88
“We spent three nights at Makanyane and could not fault it, from the personal welcome from the general manager on arrival to being waved off by her on departure. The accommodation is stunning with floor to ceiling windows having the effect of bringing the reserve into your luxurious room. The food was varied and always beautifully prepared and presented. The game drives were superb and our ranger, Trevor, was a fount of information on the terrain, insects and birds as well as the game.” –Mike B
