The lodge caters for a maximum of ten guests. As such, you are assured exclusivity, privacy and the very highest standards of personal care and attention at all times. Nestled in the rocky outcrop of the Gabbro hills, the lodge, comprising dining, lounge, and relaxation areas, provides a high elevation and an uninterrupted view of the reserve. The suites are arranged in a radial configuration around one of the hills, each with a private, rim-flow pool deck and natural window sala overlooking the waterhole and plains.
The land consists of open grasslands and bushveld plains with scattered rocky outcrops and single mountains, and offers ideal game viewing opportunities. Molori Safari Lodge is located on Madikwe which is a Big Five game reserve covering some 75,000 hectares and is currently the fifth largest game reserve in South Africa. The reserve was opened in 1991 and was part of the biggest game relocation programme ever staged. Operation Phoenix took place over six years and involved moving more than 8 000 animals into the Madikwe Game Reserve.
Madikwe Safari Lodge is divided into three separate lodges – namely Lelapa Lodge, Dithaba Lodge and Kopana Lodge – with a total of 20 luxury suites. Madikwe Safari Lodge is family-owned and operated, which results in personal service and commitment towards all guests. As well as focusing on the guest’s needs, the lodge also focuses on the needs of the community and has contributed by getting involved with organisations such as Pack-for-a-Purpose and Lion Sands Community Project.
